5. River Adventures
The rivers of Mulu form the primary means of transport. The steep landscape of Mulu means most of the access is restricted to rivers flowing on the park’s boundaries in the lowland areas:
Kayaking
Paddle along the Melinau and Tutoh rivers at your own pace and allow yourself to be mesmerised by the idyllic tropical mountainous jungles as your backdrop.
Night Cruise
Cruise along Tutoh or Melinau rivers in the
“heart of the darkness” and witness nature at work from
a totally different perspective. The nocturnal sights and sounds
of Mulu will surely be an intriguing experience for you.
Boating
Drift down the tranquil river, through the surrounding jungle on a boat ride led by our guide where you will come across a Penan settlement and the natural hot springs.
Boat Rafting
Enjoy a surge of adrenaline as you glide swiftly down the cool waters of the following stream on your own raft board.
So far, this has been, conclusively, an invigorating experience for all.
River Safari
A rip roaring affair where our experienced boatman guides you through a series of swift rapids from the Melinau River to Batang Mulong; there are fascinating flora and fauna to charm you along the way.
